Karalee Werning4 March 2024I found Villa Norbu through an online search and fell in love; I really didn’t consider any orher venues, just asked for a contract sight unseen. After firing our wedding planner, my now husband and I flew for a site visit one year in advance of our wedding date and met Alain and Soolan, and fell even more in love with Villa Norbu. When I mentioned that we wanted to include our dogs in the ceremony, Alain was all for it. Alain made it so easy, with vendor recommendations, menu suggestions, and helping us to imagine what the set up might look like. (He was even our photographer, Blue Glass Photography). On the day of, he and Kelly (the villa’s coordinator) made everything SO easy for us and our 70 guests. The food was amazing, the venue is STUNNING! Alain/Soolan/Kelly are consummate professionals…the only change I would have made was to have had an even longer wedding celebration there! Thank you, Villa Norbu!

Alain and his staff were wonderful, the food was 10/10, the D.J kept the party going all night, and the bartender kept the drinks flowing. They worked with all my wants/needs and made sure things were running smooth so I as they bride could enjoy. I’ve been to multiple destination weddings so I had venues to compare to and Villa Norbu will always receive a good recommendation from myself and my groom.

It is stunning in design with an open -dining room perched over a bay in St. Thomas, a circular patio for performances, a plexiglass dance floor over water, rough-hewn beams and flagstone walkways, and a lovely bridal room and sitting room. Villa Norbu's spectacular setting is matched only by the superb service of its owner Alain Brin and his staff, who have weddings down to a "T." Alain orchestrates the rehearsal, the musicians, and the exquisite menu. Most importantly, he is extremely responsive to questions in the planning phases. The only downside -- for those with mobility issues -- is the five flights of stone steps down to the ceremony platform. I highly recommend Villa Norbu for an intimate and unforgettable wedding.
Ryan Hamilton26 January 2024What a place! Alain and his team were incredible hosts and top notch. The ambience, the views, and the views were over the top. We had a small intimate wedding of 25 and everything was perfect. Not to mention we never visited and chose the venue through reputation and photos. No complaints and hope one day we can somehow enjoy it again.

Lauren and Dalton Kiefer20 November 2023If you need a venue, look no further. This is hands down the most beautiful venue I have ever seen. Pictures do not do it justice. I had selected this venue as a recommendation from our wedding planner, and I didn't quite know what to expect. I had seen their photos online and peeked through their Instagram, but until you see this place in person, you just won't understand how incredible it really is. I was a little nervous about food, given that it is typically one of the main things people remember about the wedding. Since this was somewhere that was over 2,000 miles away from home, it was safe to say that a typical tasting was out of the question for us. It ended up being the best food I've had at a wedding. We had chosen the lobster and filet mignon, and oh my goodness, was that a great choice. You really can't go wrong with any of the sides or appetizers either. Absolutely incredible! - if you are reading through the reviews looking for recommendations on appetizers, our guests are still talking about the crab cakes. Alain and his team needs a huge shout out as well. Alain was on site and available the whole evening. He is so friendly and clearly the best at what he does. I was so happy to have gotten to meet him! We had a short little burst of rain during the dinner, and it was amazing to see how quickly the Norbu took care of everything. They were immediately blocking the rain from blowing under the tent and squeegeeing and mopping the floor. Before we knew it, the rain was over, and we were good to be walking around and dancing. We (and all of our guests) 100% recommend Villa Norbu!
Courtney Smith17 November 2023If we could give this place 100 stars, we would! Alain and Soolan had the best hospitality anyone could ask for. Their home is beyond stunning, and even more beautiful than pictures appear. Their staff went above and beyond, always making sure everyone's glasses were full and they had everything they needed. The food was a 10/10 from the unreal appetizers of lobster mac and cheese and beef satay to the best lobster I HAVE EVER HAD (and I am from Boston!!! I know, right?!) They even got my groom a tomahawk steak which he said was legendary. I still don't know how they were able to cook for 54 people and everyone said the food was 100%! (That is kind of impressive). Our pan player made our tropical destination wedding come true! DJ Cypha had everyone up on the dance floor! Could not have asked for a better playlist myself. East End Flowers brought the gorgeous tropical colors alive! This in combination of the beautiful blue sea in the background was mesmerizing. Island Sweet Stuff made the most decadent rum punch / coconut cake! We are so grateful we went with Alain's Blue glass Photography. Looking through our pictures brought the wedding of our dreams back to life and I will always be able to look back on them forever to never forget all of the perfect details. Alain and Soolan helped us book all of these vendors with no fuss. So long story short, if you have any hesitation of planning a long distance destination wedding for a large group, have no fear. Alain and Soolan will make it the wedding of your dreams. We know as they did for us. We are already hoping to plan to go back in one year just the two of us for an intimate dinner. Planning a destination wedding sounds stressful and daunting but Alain made the process so smooth and kept me calm and assured everything about our day would be taken care of. He followed through on that with a day that was more than we had dreamt of. Every detail was perfection. Our guests raved about the service of the staff, the quality of the food and the experience and ambience of the incredible venue.
